Après 5 ans de performances dans la métro, Gabriel Royal se fait finalement remarqué et sort son premier album, un album eponyme. Il présentera cet album pour la première fois en France sur la scène du Sunset. Influencé par le groove de Stevie Wonder, le jazz détendu et pop de Burt Bacharach & d'autres artistes contemporains tels que John Legend, Hiatus Coyote, Flying Lotus, James Blake, Jangle Monae and Thundercat, la marque de fabrique de Gabriel Royal est de chanter par dessus son violoncelle.

It took Gabriel five years busking on the New York city subway to finally get noticed and have his first album recorded. He will present this album for the first time in France, on Sunset's stage.
Influenced by Stevie Wonder's groove to Burt Bacharach's relaxed, jazzy yet poppy sensitivities, including outcast contemporary artists such as John Legend, Hiatus Coyote, Flying Lotus, James Blake, Jangle Monae and Thundercat, Gabriel's trademark sound is his singing over a cello, the result being an easy listening modern chamber pop.
